Occupational Therapy Treatment

Full Spectrum Healing provides occupational therapy services to children and adults in the state of Texas, USA. Treatment sessions are available in person or online.

During the consultation that follows the initial evaluation, we discuss the plan for your care, recommendations for your home program and the frequency and duration of treatment sessions needed to achieve your goals.   Low and moderate complexity cases may benefit from treatment sessions once per week or as little as one session per month.  Example:   A High intensity treatment plan may include a 2-3 hour session that allows us to progress from strength, coordination, and manual therapy techniques to community accessibility training, and community Activities of Daily Living skills training one day each month for 3 months.  Between our sessions it is the role and responsibility of the clients and caregivers to apply the strategies, exercises and modifications so that progress toward the clients goals can be achieved.

Moderate and High Complexity cases may benefit from 2-3 hours sessions one day per week or

Twice per month. The application of an Intensive Integrated Approach to Occupational Therapy allows clients and caregivers to view the complexities of the treatment and home program as a continuum of strategies, and to establish daily practices that embed new skills into the client/ family lifestyle.

No Surprises Act and the Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.  The overall cost of services depends on a number of factors including frequency of services, and duration of treatment. An initial evaluation is required for the occupational therapy rehabilitation services. It is through the evaluation and the consultation that the recommendations for what level of frequency and duration of services meet each clients individual needs. The cost of the initial evaluation depends on the intensity of medical necessity and the number of performance areas to be addressed. Our pricing and detailed descriptions are found on our Evaluations Basics Page. You can receive an estimate of service costs as we discuss the results of the initial evaluation and we work together to establish your unique plan of care. We do NOT contract with any insurance panels and all services are direct fee for services with Full Spectrum Healing LLC , due prior to scheduling each session. Upon request, a Superbill can be provided for you.

As of January 1, 2022 under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" of expected charges.

Traditional Treatment Session

Traditional therapy services are limited by restrictions in practices that are common across insurance companies.  While some of these restrictions are intended to control healthcare costs, they fail to consider the value of group treatment, caregiver education and provision of services outside the clinic and home settings.  Traditional therapy sessions take place in settings that fail to adequately represent functional situations.  As a result, clinicians are restricted from application of innovative strategies that support integration of clinical strategies into our client’s individual lifestyles.

Full Spectrum Healing tailors the location and flow of the session to what is best for the client and family.  Our sessions may take place in our clinic, your home, park or other locations such as the grocery store or preschool. I find it best to address skills in the natural environment when possible.

Inclusion of siblings is determined by the clients needs, and with the focus on modeling, cooperation, and training in home program activities. Siblings are often most effective in making sure that the home program gets done because it’s so much fun!

Intensive Treatment Session

Full Spectrum Healing’s application of An Intensive Integrated Approach to Treatment allows the clinician and caregivers to adjust the frequency and duration according to the client’s needs.  The location, setting and duration of treatment may be characterized by:

8:00 ADL  at home virtual session,

9:00 Aquatic Therapy exercises at the client’s gym as therapist facilitates inclusion of sensory defensive child in class.

10:00 Myofascial Release

Balance and Visual Training

11: 00 Feeding Therapy

As the caregivers are included in the sessions, they are better prepared to support the client’s progress between sessions.

This reduces the need for scheduling sessions at a frequency of an hour two or three times per week.

Intensive sessions are effective at a frequency of one session per week or once per month.

Teletherapy Traditional vs.

Intensive Teletherapy

Traditional Teletherapy attempts to directly instruct only clients through video conferencing. The Intensive approach to Teletherapy focuses on the therapist instructing both the client and caregiver with the emphasis on increasing progress by shaping client performance through implementation of home program and functional strategies applied to the client’s lifestyle.
